Inter-Ministerial Committee on Xenophobia to brief media: 8 July

The Inter-Ministerial Committee tasked to deal with xenophobic threats and violence will brief members of the media following a meeting to discuss an integrated programme of action by government and civil society to avert or deal with xenophobic threats and violence.

The briefing will take place as follows:

The IMC is convened by the Minister of Police and includes the Ministers of Home Affairs, Social Development, State Security, Basic Education, Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Arts and Culture as well as International Relations and Cooperation.
