2019 Presidential Inauguration Ceremony state of readiness media briefing

The Inter-Ministerial Committee on the Presidential Inauguration led by the Minister in the Presidency, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, will host a media briefing on the state of readiness to host the 2019 Presidential Inauguration.

South Africa will on 25 May 2019 host the Inauguration Ceremony of its 6th President-Elect. This follows the successful Provincial and General Election process held on 8 May 2019 and the announcement of the results.

Members of the media are invited to cover the media briefing as per the details below:

Venue: Media Room 153 Union Buildings, Pretoria  

Media covering the briefing are advised to confirm attendance by submitting their personal details to Ireen Manyuha on Email: Ireen@gcis.gov.za.  

Access to the venue will only be granted to media that have confirmed attendance. 

Attending journalists are further advised to bring along a South African ID or Passport, a Press Card or an original letter from the Editor.
