The Government Communication and Information System invites you to Africa’s Webinar on COVID-19 that will reflect on the emergence of new Coronavirus variants and their impact on economic recovery taking place on Wednesday, 3 March 2021 at 13h00 CAT.
The aim of the event is to create a platform for the World Health Organisation, African Union and the media to exchange latest developments on COVID-19. The Webinar will address the measures taken by various countries to achieve inclusive growth following the economic devastation caused by COVID-19.
The speakers for the Webinar are:
Ms. Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane, Minister of Tourism in South Africa.
Dr. Matshidiso Moeti- World Health Organisation, Regional Head for Africa.
Dr. John Nkengasong - African Union Director of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.
Dr. Mmboneni Muofhe - The Deputy Director-General (DDG) for Technology Innovation at the Department of Science and Technology in South Africa.
Moderator- Ms. Eleni Giokos - CNN Correspondent.
