Government activities for the week 30 April – 06 May 2018

Government has scheduled the following briefings/activities for the week 30 April – 06 May 2018. The activities, which are aligned to the National Development Plan and outlined in the Medium Term Strategic Framework 2014-2019, are undertaken to build a better South Africa. 

• The Minister of Transport, Dr Blade Nzimande, together with the MEC for Transport and Safety in the Eastern Cape, Ms Weziwe Tikana, will join various road safety activations on Monday, 30 April in Port Elizabeth, as part of the national department’s heightened 365 days road safety programme. 
• On Sunday, 06 May, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ms Elizabeth Thabethe, will address member states of the Indian Ocean Rim Association at Garden Court Marine Parade – Durban at 08:00 am. The workshop is aimed at identifying opportunities for entrepreneurship and best practices concerning the advancement of Coastal and Marine Tourism on the African continent.
