Media briefing on the National State of Disaster pertaining to the impact of severe electricity supply constraints
Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) will host a media briefing to communicate the Gazetted regulations which give effect to the National State of Disaster pertaining to the impact of Severe Electricity Supply Constraints. The briefing will be led by the Minister in the Presidency, Mondli Gungubele, Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Nkosazana Dlamini - Zuma and Minister of Health, Joe Phaahla.
The National State of Disaster was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa during his 2023 State of the Nation Address and declared by the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs on 9 February 2023 in line with the provisions of the National Disaster Management Act, Act 57 of 2002.
