Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) in partnership with Media24 will on Thursday, 03 October 2019 host the Women in the media Dialogue under the theme “Dynamics of gender representation and GBV for Women in Media and Communication”.
The dialogue will deliberate on recent research that indicates that women are marginalised as sources in South African television news and also how women have changed the landscape of media management by breaking the glass ceiling.
The dialogue will further create a conversation space for government communicators and the media to look at contributing factors and propose concrete outcomes to address the deficiencies identified in various studies.
