Youth reflections on the 2022 State of the Nation Address

Following the delivery of the State of the Nation Address (SoNA) by President Ramaphosa on 10 February 2022, the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) will host a Twitter Space for the youth to reflect on the contents of the SoNA.

The Twitter Space provides a platform for the youth to express their views on the SoNA whilst exploring solutions to some of the country’s foremost challenges like unemployment.

In its communication, government always takes an inclusive approach and ensures that the youth actively participate on matters of national importance such as the SoNA.

The Twitter Space themed #SONA2020 - The voice of youth matters will be held via the @GCISMedia Twitter account, Co-hosted and facilitated by the Ministry of Justice and Correctional Services Spokesperson, Chrispin Phiri.

Speakers include the NYDA Board Chairperson, Asanda Luwaca, Yolokazi Mfutho, a Masters student at Fort Hare University and Zulaikha Patel who is a social justice activist.
