Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) is hosting a masterclass webinar on mushroom farming as a business model.
The webinar seeks to educate the public on mushroom farming and outline processes involved in starting up a mushroom farming business. Experts in mushroom farming will lead the webinar.
Mushroom farming is a growing industry. According to the South African Farmer’s Association, South Africa produces about 21 000 tonnes of mushrooms per year and these are exported mostly to neighbouring countries such as Namibia and Mauritius.
Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the masterclass as follows.
