Media accreditation for the unveiling of the OR Tambo statue

President Jacob Zuma will tomorrow, 19 October 2017, unveil a life-size statue of Mr Oliver Reginald Tambo at the O.R. Tambo International Airport in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng.

The ceremony forms part of the O.R. Tambo centenary celebrations that are being held across the country under the theme "Life and Legacy of OR Tambo".

After careful consideration, I have decided to make the following changes to the National Executive;

  •  Professor Hlengiwe Mkhize is the Minister of Higher Education and Training
  •  Ms Mmamaloko Kubayi is the Minister of Communications
  • Mr David Mahlobo is the Minister of Energy
  • Adv. Bongani Thomas Bongo is the Minister of State Security
  •  Mr Buti Manamela is the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training

Auditor General commends DOC and GCIS for achieving clean audit reports for 2016/2017 financial year

The Auditor General commends Department of Communications (DOC) and the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) for achieving clean audit reports for the 2016/2017 financial year.

The DOC maintained a clean audit for the second consecutive year while the GCIS achieved a clean audit for the fourth consecutive year.
