Justice, Crime Prevention and Security Cluster (JCPS) will on Friday, 8 July 2022 give an update on the events of July 2021.
South Africa experienced violent civil unrest, mainly in parts of the provinces of KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng, between 8th and 17th July 2021. The unrest was characterised by social media mobilisation leading to looting, destruction of property and the disruption of economic activity.

The Government Communication and Information System in collaboration with the Department of Science and Innovation will host a webinar to celebrate the contribution of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) industries.
The event is hosted as part of the Youth Month campaign and it aims to inspire, engage, and encourage young women to consider a career in STEM related fields.

Government advises the nation on the arrangements of the late King of amaMpondo, Zanozuko Tyelovuyo Sigcau who has been accorded a special official funeral Category 1 by President, Cyril Ramaphosa.

Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) calls on members of the media to apply for accreditation to cover the special official funeral of King Zanozuko Tyelovuyo Sigcau.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday, 21 June 2021 at Flagstaff in the Eastern Cape Province.
King Zanozuko Sigcau passed away on Tuesday, 31 May 2022, following a period of illness.
