1.1. Cabinet extends appreciation to the members of the United Nations (UN) that  overwhelmingly supported South Africa to serve as a non-permanent member on the UNSC for the term 2019 until 2020.

Government is outraged by the sexual abuse that a nine month-old baby underwent, as reported in the media. Government will not tolerate any form of violence and abuse against our children and has classified this element of criminality as a high priority. Government calls on law enforcement agencies to take strong action against those responsible for the gross violation of an innocent baby.
