Government welcomes Bishop Jabu Ndaba’s sentencing

Government welcomes the life imprisonment sentence handed over to Bishop Jabu Ndaba (52) by the Springs Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

Ndaba, who is reportedly the leader of Trinity Apostolic Church, was charged with one count of rape of a minor who, along with her family, was a member of his church. He was found guilty of the crimes in July this year.

Inter-Ministerial Committee on South Africa Investment Conference

Members of the media,

I am pleased to announce that President Cyril Ramaphosa will be hosting the inaugural South Africa Investment Conference on 25-27 October 2018. The theme of the conference is ‘Accelerating Growth by Building Partnerships’.

The Investment Conference follows a commitment made by the President during the State of the Nation Address in February this year. The aim of the conference is to market the compelling investment opportunities in our country so as to encourage investments and create jobs.

The IMC on the Revitalisation of Distressed Mining Communities met in Pretoria on 16 October 2018 to assess progress in addressing the developmental challenges in mining towns and labour-sending areas. The IMC, chaired by Minister Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, is mandated to achieve integrated and sustainable human settlements, improve the living and working conditions of mineworkers, and health of mining communities, and advance the socio-economic development of mining towns.
