Deputy Ministers in the Presidency, Kenneth Morolong and Nomasonto Motaung will lead a media tour in KwaZulu- Natal to showcase progress on the South Africa Investment Projects (SA Invest).

The projects for the media tour are part of the commitments made during the fifth South Africa Investment Conference (SAIC) on 13 April 2023 in Johannesburg which was the final conference aiming to attract R1.2 trillion over five years.

The Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Mr Kenneth Morolong to conduct outreach activities at Tosca Primary School in the North West province to commemorate the closing of International Mandela Day. 

The Deputy Minister will participate in the painting of the school and planting of trees. In engaging in these activities, the Deputy Minister will honour President Nelson Mandela's legacy.

The Minister in the Presidency, Ms Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, has today, Monday, 24 July 2023, hosted a Friends of BRICS National Security Advisors Meeting with her BRICS Security counterparts, in Sandton.

This meeting is convened on the sidelines of the 15th BRICS Leaders’ Summit constituted by all Security Ministers of the BRICS countries. The Friends of BRICS countries who attended this meeting are Belarus, Burundi, Cuba, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) in partnership with Agape Youth Movement joined by the conveners of Pillar 2 of the National Strategic Plan for the End Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) collaborative will host a webinar on the role of young people in preventing GBVF.

The webinar aims to educate the youth about the role they can play as future leaders of communities in preventing GBVF.

The Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Mr Kenneth Morolong to deliver a keynote address at the BRICS Youth Summit on 20 July 2023

The Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Mr Kenneth Morolong will deliver a keynote address on 20 July at the 9th BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India China, and South Africa) Youth Summit under the theme: “BRICS and Africa: Partnership for Mutually Accelerated Growth, Sustainable Development and Inclusive Multilateralism.” The event is hosted by the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) and government from 18-20 July 2023 in KwaZulu Natal, Durban.

As South Africa joins the world in commemorating Nelson Mandela Month this July 2023, the government calls on citizens to contribute to turning the tide against food insecurity and climate change in honour of Nelson Mandela’s legacy.
