The GCIS and BUSA launch a pledge campaign against corruption

The Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) in partnership with Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) launched the Anti-Corruption #ThumaMina pledge campaign today, 07 August 2018.

The campaign aims to galvanise the business sector, public servants and society at large to take a firm and visible stand against corruption.

Members of the BUSA Board, as well as other business stakeholders, all pledged to contribute meaningfully towards the Government's mission to clampdown on corruption.

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen of the media

The South African Government is privileged to be hosting the 10th BRICS Summit, starting on 25 July and ending on 27 July 2018. As you may be aware, South Africa, in its role as Chair of BRICS for the calendar year 2018, has chosen the theme: “BRICS in Africa: Collaboration for Inclusive Growth and Shared Prosperity in the Fourth Industrial Revolution”.

Government thanks South Africans for their support during the 100 Men March

Government thanks all South Africans who joined the 100 Men March today, a call to action and to end gender based violence. People in their thousands marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to voice their concern about violence on women and children. They also committed to be part of the solution by signing a pledge to end violence against the most vulnerable, women and children.
