Minister of Communications saddened by death of SABC Manager
Minister of Communications, Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane expresses her deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the South African Broadcasting Authority’s (SABC) head of legal services, Sizwe Vilakazi. According to the SABC Vilakazi was killed in a shooting incident.

1.1. Cabinet welcomes the MTBPS delivered by the Minister of Finance, Mr Malusi Gigaba, in Parliament, Cape Town, last week.
Government welcomes the Middelburg Magistrate’s Court sentencing of Willem Oosthuizen and Theo Jackson who forced Victor Mlotshwa into a coffin and threatened to pour petrol on him. Jackson and Oosthuizen were sentenced to 14 and 11 years in prison respectively.

Memorial service for the late Mr Joe Maila - the Ministry of Health spokesperson
The GCIS and the Ministry of Health will on Thursday, 26 October 2017 hold a joint Memorial Service in honour of the Minister of Health spokesperson, Mr Joe Maila, who passed away last Thursday, 19 October 2017.
The memorial service will be attended by the media, various stakeholders from the private sector and government communicators from three spheres of government.
Government sends its well wishes to all learners sitting for their 2017 National Senior Certificate (NSC) final examinations.
