Memorial service for the late Mr Joe Maila - the Ministry of Health spokesperson

The GCIS and the Ministry of Health will on Thursday, 26 October 2017 hold a joint Memorial Service in honour of the Minister of Health spokesperson, Mr Joe Maila, who passed away last Thursday, 19 October 2017.

The memorial service will be attended by the media, various stakeholders from the private sector and government communicators from three spheres of government.

Government is shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of a seasoned government communicator, Joe Maila. During his untimely passing, he was the spokesperson in the Ministry of Health.

Minister of Communications, Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane, on behalf of government communicators sends deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Joe Maila.

Media accreditation for the unveiling of the OR Tambo statue

President Jacob Zuma will tomorrow, 19 October 2017, unveil a life-size statue of Mr Oliver Reginald Tambo at the O.R. Tambo International Airport in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng.

The ceremony forms part of the O.R. Tambo centenary celebrations that are being held across the country under the theme "Life and Legacy of OR Tambo".
