Deputy Minister of Communications (DoC), Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams will visit the North West province on Thursday, 16th July. She will participate in the Setsokotsane programme alongside Premier of the North West, Supra Mahumapelo.

Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) will host a Public Sector Manager (PSM) Forum on Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) in Kimberley, Northern Cape.
The Acting Director General of the department of Communications, Mr Ndivhuho Munzhelele will be the keynote speaker and he will be sharing the planned rollout of the Digital Migration project and its benefits to all South Africans.
The PSM Forum provides public service managers and various stakeholders with a platform to thoroughly engage with policy makers.

Government notes and welcomes the conclusion of the coroner’s inquest, instituted by the Lagos State Government, to investigate the collapse of a guest house owned by the Synagogue Church of All Nations.
Government notes the ruling that the Synagogue Church of All Nations must be investigated and prosecuted for negligence which resulted in the deaths of 116 people, most of them South Africans.

GCIS in its statement on the 30 June 2015 regarding the ruling of the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) referred to the 31 July 2015 as the date for Eskom’s submission of its Third Multi-Year Electricity Price Determination.

Government wishes to commend young people for participating in various outreach activities and dialogues during Youth Month.
This year’s event, celebrated under the theme: “Youth Moving South Africa Forward” resulted in hundreds of youths embarking on a freedom walk from Freedom Park to Tshwane Events Centre to hand over their pledges to the country’s leadership.

Government values the swift process by the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) in reviewing the selective reopener for the third multi-year price determination for the period 1 July 2015 to 31 March 2016 that was submitted by Eskom.

Government has decided to appeal the recent High Court (Gauteng) Judgement on the matter relating to President of Sudan Omar Al-Bashir. The reasons for the appeal will be contained in the affidavit that will be submitted within the prescribed due date.

1. Implementation of Key Government Programmes
1.1. Cabinet welcomed the resolutions adopted at the 25th African Union (AU) Summit which places Africa on a new path of development and growth that will enable the continent to take its rightful place in global affairs.
Resolutions included a united and functioning single military by the end of the year. Leaders pledged to accelerate the operationalisation of the African Standby Force (ASF).
