The dialogue closes the 2020 Women’s Month programme and is part of the Justice Crime Prevention and Security (JCPS) cluster’s effort to fight the scourge of GBVF.

When the President announced last week that the country would move to alert level 2 of the lockdown to allow for more reopening of the economy, many South Africans saw this as a positive sign that we are making progress in our efforts to contain the Coronavirus.
The President, rightly so, reminded us to continue to exercise the greatest caution and care, during alert level 2 and remain ever-vigilant.

Government joins the nation in remembering the events that led to the Marikana tragedy in August 2012. The pains that were felt by the workers, their families, government and the nation on that fatal day in 2012 is entrenched in the country’s history and is a reminder of what must never happen again in South Africa.

Government wishes to provide further update on the arrangements for the Special Official Funeral of the late Isithwalandwe/Seaparankwe John Nkadimeng as follows:
1. Live Broadcast and Pool Feed
In accordance with the COVID-19 Alert Level 3 Regulations currently in place which prescribe that attendance at a funeral is limited to fifty (50) persons, only a limited number will be permitted to attend the funeral service.
Government is saddened by the death of legendary radio personality, Bob Mabena and sends its deepest condolences to his family, colleagues and fans.
