Welcome to this briefing by the International Cooperation, Trade and Security (ICTS) Cluster.
Today we will be providing you with a quarterly progress report covering up to the end of September 2016, on the implementation of the Medium Term Strategic Framework (MTSF) 2014-2019.

The International Cooperation, Trade and Security cluster chaired by Minister Edna Molewa will brief media on the progress made in the implementation of the cluster’s Programme of Action (PoA) towards achieving the goals of the NDP: Vision 2030.
The briefing follows the pronouncement that Cabinet has since been updated on the progress reports for the second quarter (July to September 2016), on the implementation of the Outcomes, which defines government’s PoA in the current phase of the Medium Term Strategic Framework 2014 – 2019.

Implementation of Government Programmes
1.1. The quarterly outcomes progress reports were presented to Cabinet for the period 1 July to 30 September 2016. These reports monitor the implementation of Government’s Programme of Action in line with the provisions of the Medium Term Strategic Framework and the National Development Plan.
1.2. Respective Cluster Ministers, through the GCIS, will coordinate cluster media briefings to present departmental milestones reached in the period, later this month.
Minister in the Presidency responsible for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Chairperson of the National Planning Commission, Mr Jeff Radebe, will brief the media on the outcomes of the Cabinet meeting held on the 16 November 2016.

South Africans to rally behind national teams ahead of super Saturday
South Africans can expect a bumper line-up of national sporting events tomorrow as the Springboks, Proteas and Bafana Bafana, tackle their opponents head on.
Tomorrow, the Springboks will play against England at Twickenham; Bafana Bafana will go head to head with Senegal in a World-Cup qualifier match in Polokwane; and the Proteas will take on Australia in the second Test in Hobart.
