The Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) invites you to The SheTradesZA Youth Seminar. The objective of the seminar is to learn, share and exchange ideas on programmes available to assist entrepreneurs to thrive in business. It also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of business development and empowering women. The seminar will also create a platform for participants to discuss the development of partnerships and assist entrepreneurs to increase their visibility to various markets.

The Government Communication and Information System in collaboration with the Department of Science and Innovation will host a webinar to celebrate the contribution of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) industries.

The event is hosted as part of the Youth Month campaign and it aims to inspire, engage, and encourage young women to consider a career in STEM related fields.

Government advises the nation on the arrangements of the late King of amaMpondo, Zanozuko Tyelovuyo Sigcau who has been accorded a special official funeral Category 1 by President, Cyril Ramaphosa.

Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) calls on members of the media to apply for accreditation to cover the special official funeral of King Zanozuko Tyelovuyo Sigcau.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday, 21 June 2021 at Flagstaff in the Eastern Cape Province.

King Zanozuko Sigcau passed away on Tuesday, 31 May 2022, following a period of illness.

Ministers Responsible for Gender and Women's Affairs from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) have expressed concern about the high prevalence of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in the Region and urged Member States to develop effective and sustainable GBV prevention programmes.

This came out of the Ministers’ meeting held on 10 June 2022 in Lilongwe, Malawi, to review progress on the implementation of gender and development programmes in the Region, as well as the revised SADC Protocol on Gender and Development.
