South Africa will together with the International Labour Organisation host the Fifth Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour from 15–20 May 2022 in Durban. The conference brings together stakeholders from the around the world to discuss, share good practices, advance policies and commit to the elimination of child labour.

Operation Vulindlela is a joint initiative of the Presidency and National Treasury to accelerate the implementation of structural reforms and support economic recovery. It aims to modernise and transform network industries, including electricity, water, transport and digital communications.

Media accreditation for the 5th Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour

South Africa will be hosting an international Child Labour Conference, as part of a larger effort to scale up action to end child labour.

The Government of South Africa, in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO), will host the 5th Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour from May 15-20, 2022, at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
